Table Parasols

I'm in love with these and would adore seeing them as a centerpiece at an indian or ethnic -ey wedding or party. They're a dramatic, tall, simple and color-intense decor option, but at a whopping $65 dollars each, not really budget-friendly.

Then I got to thinking, why couldn't you take a regular paper parasol, weigh it down in a vase and do the exact same thing for lots cheaper? eh?

So take something like this for a mere $8 dollars weight it down in something like this and you have yourself a diy, inexpensive version. Ta-da!
