Untraditional Pearls

Some cool, but updated versions of the preppie staple pearl necklace, for the modern set. Would be perfect as an investment piece, or the individualist bride. Or both, you know, first one and then the other.

The first is the waterfall necklace from Sundance. It's pearl strands in the front, but ties in the back with a couple strands of brown suede, which is kinda rustic and neat.

Next up, I want to knock off this Rapunzel necklace from Bittersweets NY, because I'm pretty sure I can't afford the $775 dollar price tag. Plus I've been making jewelry for the better part of a decade, so, you know. And going to gem shows to score the littlest itty bitty teeny weeny pearls is super fun and bead nerdery. Plus it's ten feet long! I've never made myself a ten foot long necklace before.
