Fall

Hey, family in LA, do you see that, those trees on the left? They're starting what's called "fall" in regions where seasons matter. And do you see those mountains, and that blue blue sky? We may spend the next 9.5 months cursing our defrosts and dragging our soggy feet around icy sidewalks, but for now we have sparkling perfection, laden with pumpkin spice and crisp leaves. So yeah. Suck on that, perfectly temperate nearly year round other regions...right.

I'm actually kicking and screaming, waiting inside for the endless frigid gloom of winter. It's my least favorite, and I'm trying to soak in as much of the un-belie-veably beautiful days that the season is taunting us with before burying us under several feet of white doom.

  1. Yes indeed. Very jealous of the fall up there. Very jealous. Not so jealous of the months and months of snow though. I feel for you. I miss fall with an ache in my heart.

  2. That is a beautiful picture. I also feel the gloom of overcast gray skies, and feet of snow. Winter is my least favorite season.

  3. That picture is beautiful. I must say, I love the way the sun angles sit in the fall, and the way the clouds look. I do indeed love fall, just wish I didn't have that niggling dread of winter in the back of my head...

  4. Lovely! Want to trade places? I miss the seasons. Not so much the length of them...but the change.
