Regina Spektor

Normally I hate when bloggers talk about their favorite music, so in some ways I'm committing here what I would normally consider a fatally mistaken flaw. I'm posting a link to a song that seriously, I can't get enough of. Her last album had another of the same for me, Fidelity, which I'm certain every single soul on the face of the planet heard enough times to get sick of it, except for me. You start either one of those songs, and I will sing it to myself in my head for the next eternity and a half. I fell in love with this new album, enough that I wanted to take it home to meet my parents, marry it and have babies, sweet beautiful lyrical babies, and settle down in an old brick home and get old together. I'm not joking here, people. So here's the link, try and listen to it just a little bit loud and on half decent speakers. And go.

p.s.- Every time I watch this video, without fail, I find myself mesmerized by the reflection of her face in the intensely shiny piano, and I wonder to myself if there is a guy on the technical crew who, after moving that piano, had to buff it into mirror shininess. (This TMI brought to you by the giant geek in me. My husband works in theatre, yo.)

  4. I love Regina Spektor too. May I ask, why don't you like it when people write about music?
