Milk Paint

I was rummaging around on apartment therapy's blog and ran across this article talking about milk paint. I've heard of it before as an eco friendly paint alternative and historical throwback, which tickles two things close to my heart, but never seen it in action before. Seems that folks with historical homes and furniture tend to use this sort of paint since the colors are traditional, and gives newer things a rustic charm. Turns out that not only do they not smell smell while you're working with them, they actually absorb carbon dioxide in the vicinity. Crazy, right? I'm sold.

So I'll just go on and add that to the list of things I'm not allowed to do to my rental, along with nice tile. sigh.
