Though I have a list of favorite flowers as long as my arm, second to the rannuncula is the anemone. They're a cool weather flower, only available for a couple months, and my favorite are the ones with deep dark centers. (otherwise you can get them with green hearts, but those remind me of poppies for some reason, and it's just not the same.) I think they're so simple and chic. I wanted purple ones like these for my August wedding and they definitely weren't in season then, sigh.
