Things I'm Obsessed With

Moss.

Green, delicious bright vibrant growing moss. Or wheatgrass. You know the shade of green I'm talking about. Green.

I've seen planters filled clear full of mounds of moss, or little terrariums with baby fine vegetation fuzzing over the terrain, and I want one. Problem is, this is a bit of a novelty for me here since you only see moss on rocks clinging to the very side of a river, and even then it's a sad turnout. That is because Utah is a desert. Every time I leave the state I am boggled *boggled* by how green literally everywhere else is. I was looking at home listings in Portland (don't ask) and all the lawns looked fake to me until I realized they probably were that color, for reals. Because it rains, elsewhere. Can you order that sort of thing in? "Yes, I'd like a bunch of the sahara roses, a bunch of the star of bethlehem, and moist mound of moss." Dunno.p.s.- This wood bowl was a wedding gift that took awhile to make its way into my heart. Now I love how earthy and rustic, yet chic, it is.

  1. I know exactly what you mean since I live in Las Vegas. The desert has such beautiful colors but sometimes it is so nice to visit somewhere with some green.

  2. I truly love that.

    Move to Portland with me.

I love green things growing on green things. I need them.
